This pretty Brass Handled Yixing Teapot is made with light mustard yellow clay. It measures 2½ inches in diameter and is 2¾ inches in height.
This barrel teapot is one of my favorite Yixing teapots. It is quite unusual in that it has brass/copper handles instead of the usual clay handle seen on most Yixing teapots. Some of the handles are braided instead of just curved pieces of copper. The body measures 2½ inches in diameter and 2¾ inches in height.
Light Colored Teapot for White or Green Teas
This pretty teapot is made of a light mustard yellow clay. It is the lightest colored one of all our Yixing teapots. We use this teapot for brewing mainly white or green teas. With use, the color has deepen slightly but fortunately not too much.
Pours Well
The good thing about this teapot is that its spout extends outwards a little bit more than other teapots. This makes it pour well with a steady stream. Its barrel shape also facilitates easy removal of brewed loose leaf tea and rinse out which I appreciate.

Thanks Mina…you are a sweetheart! The blog is still very much a work-in-progress. I will be adding more pages and of course blog posts. Yes, all the teapots are mine. 🙂

I love the clean, spare lines of this pot, and the soft, muted glimmer and beautiful curves of the brass handles. I can’t believe how small it actually is, judging by the measurements; it seems tall somehow, though I can see it is not much taller than the tea cups beside it!
Biren says
Yes, it is quite tiny and can only hold about 4 oz of tea. Those tiny cups only have a 1 oz capacity but somehow that is sufficient for savoring the quality and not the quantity of tea. 🙂
I love the color of this teapot. There aren’t many with this color.
